REVIEW FOR NO TRIX and our NEXT ALL DNB SHOW.
This will be a short review and thank you shout outs. 1st ill say it was 1/2 my show so i may be partial to the event but ill be as honest as i can. The set ups were both BANGING! the log2 sound is a given to rock a party right and i dont know why more people dont use them.. aside from being the 2nd biggest expense in the show... its worth it and i can tell it is by the looks and smiles on the ravers faces when they seen the bass bins ready to rock. Big thanks to M1D1 for setting it all up, He is the guy that is in charge of our stage decor, ideas get bounced around and he attempts to execute it with in budget. Over all id give the show a 8, big up to three jay and his crew, big ups to adam, nelson, justin, tak, oscar, and every one else for helping make this show possible. The crowd was just enough to make the party fun who ever missed it really missed a good production, Im pretty sure the 20 dollar cover was a factor.. on a side note, I am never going to do a 20 dollar show again.. im going to do 10-15 dollar shows only, yes the line up might suffer or not be as good if we charged 20 but i dont want to my show to cost as much as a pill for a gram of good weed.... i know how rare it is for people to spend 20 bucks on enjoyment... lol.. any way at this point we are still in the education process and teaching the crowds the power a good dj has over the room and the value of that is higher than we can charge atm. Our next show is December 17 and its called PLANET BASS. Im resurrecting the event in the name of DRUM N BASS, PLANET BASS was the 1st big show i was ever involved with and i feel its time to bring it back with the sound that properly represents the name of the planet we all visit on the weekends.

Big shout to every one that came out to the LTJ BUKEM all building dnb show it was great to see so many people down with drum n bass. My part was solely in Smart Bar as M.I.A. hosted the line up consisting of Danny The Wildchild & MC QuestionMark, My self (delamota) Dioptrics, Kode X and J cross and MC Phase on my set. All i can say was the party was on! I played a longer set and since and i had extra time I dove into some deeper grooves, jump up drum step some ragga and some neuro tracks even made their way into my set... i had a good time and from what every one was saying it was a good time in Smart bar and Metro. Big ups to every one that played in the mia room, from what i people said it was all killers from the jump. This friday im playing along side some serious talent known as, oldschool vet Phuture 303 doing a live show, acid house is the flavor, also my buddy mr Paul Anthony and another stellar oldschool producer Robert Armani + a bunch of other talented djs from Chicago. This is going to happen at 1524 north fremont Chicago IL. Get there early this is going to be a big one.

PLANET BASS - DEC 17 SATURDAY NIGHT
On December 17 M.I.A. presents "Planet Bass 2011". This event will happen in a one room venue with a large amount of bass. The space will be visually stimulating with our legendary LD JazzWheeler on the lights and our crew doing sculpting and fabric and other visual decor. The line up will include regional, national and were working on an international artist for this one. more info as time progresses. Im excited about this one, this is the last underground i will do for the rest of the year so i along with the crew want it to be really tight.

DEEP IN THE JUNGLE : REVIEW
The night started off like any other, crew was there early, m1d1 on the case working with mr nelson steele, d boh x, jazz wheeler, tae, erik and some others helping to make the event look good. Sound arrived about 8pm lights were fully assembled at 730 and music started at 915. DJ Oracle was the 1st dj to touch down in the booth, oracle played his signature sound of dark, melotic techno jungle and was a good vibe as the ravers started to arrive. The second dj to hit the decks was M1D1 and he just took the room up one more notch playing exclusives and some of the bigger dance tunes out getting the energy levels high in order for DJ Stunna to come out of left field with a set full of dark rollers, this normally smooth operator turned the room out with dubs galore and vibes through the roof, hands were in the air. The old school Cleveland veteran dj Rob Riddum touched bass with some jump up and heavy dance floor tunes just in time for dubstep don Phaded to step in and smash them down. Konkrete Jungle Minneapolis crew stepped in the booth and the killer combo known as Easyrider and MC Brace gave the ravers a proper dose of the konkrete vibe of Minnesota. Chicago OJ and #1 dnb export Danny the wildchild played his signature set of all killers and no fillers along with a little of the flare he is known to do, I played after danny every one looked to have fun, i played some drum step at 1st then went on to kill it with the heavy dance floor tactics. J santana closed it off playing drum n bass from every style and ended the event with class, We were about full at 11pm and maxed out around 12 midnight, few hundred through the door, we didnt make any money, in fact we lost a nice chunk but the vibe was worth it so were calling it a donation to the bass gods. With numerous productions under his belt, a very busy dj schedule and a new mix released every 2-3 months alfonz has gained a nice following anywhere the internet is available. His drum n bass mixes are on rotation in several over seas radio stations most recently in New Zealand on loco fm 107fm, his events in Chicago exceed what any one thought a full on drum n bass rager could be like, the energy is high just like the temperature in room, care of the bass heads that are packed on the dance floor moving to the 99.9% drum n bass music pumping out of the speakers. His night at Smart Bar is the Longest running drum n bass night in Chicago with over 150 dedicated attendees every month that come to Smart bar (voted Chicago's best club several times) and expect to hear Alfonz De La Mota and the M.I.A. crew's big bass lines melt their faces.
