His name is synonymous with Chicago drum n bass and one of Americas largest drum n bass music groups the M.I.A. (murda In america) with over 50+ members all over the country. In the early 90's Alfonz got his start djing and putting on small events and after-hours in Chicago. In 1998 he attempted his 1st event called "Higher" featuring a diverse line up of drum n bass and techno in a warehouse on the south side of Chicago and soon after he helped establish "boogie tribe" which would later become one of the biggest edm promoters in the midwest and among the top 5 promotion companies in Chicago. Over the years Alfonz has played well over 25 cities in over 20 states both headlining and along side some of the worlds top electronic music producers and djs. His drive to push drum n bass has taken him to several musical places including a live dnb band called "soljazz", a drum step group "highSociety". Also as a promoter he loves putting on several underground events that are exclusively drum n bass with a touch of dubstep. He's held a residencies at several clubs including smart bar for over 5 years both djing and putting on dnb nights there till 2012 when he began working with Dolphin night club on a monthly basis to present #Play his monthly drum n bass night on the 2nd Wednesdays of every month . He has recently been producing tracks exclusively for Combat records available on several digital outlets and lending his vocal talents to several m.i.a. djs mixtapes. Future plans include a west coast and east coast tour called "the fallen bass tour" and a few releases on several record labels to be announced.
